Maumee High School is the oldest chartered high school in the state of Ohio and includes grades 9 through 12. It is a public comprehensive high school accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. More than 90 percent of the graduates attend college or pursue technical training beyond high school. Maumee boasts a middle class population with a strong belief that great schools mean a great community. This is seen in both academics and athletics. Athletically, many Maumee teams consistently post impressive records and the school has produced several nationally recognized athletes. Youth soccer, softball, and Little League baseball begin for children as early as three-years-old and the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and school district cooperatively organize other team sports beginning in fourth grade.
The Maumee city limits and school district boundaries are not identical and homes with Maumee mailing addresses may not be part of the Maumee School District. Families considering relocation into Maumee are urged to contact the Board of Education office to verify district boundaries, 419.893.3200.
