Maumee City Schools accepts employment applications year-round for substitute teaching and operational staff positions. Interested candidates should use the "VIEW OPEN POSITIONS - APPLY ONLINE" link below for more information and to apply for posted positions. 


Buildings & Grounds / Custodial Positions. You do not need to complete Maumee's online application (at this time) if buildings & grounds / custodial is the only substitute position you are interested in applying for.  $12/hour for up to 40 hours/week, first and second shift available. OPERATIONAL SUBSTITUTE RATES OF PAY PER HOUR: 

Classroom Assistant $12.50, Clerk Librarian $ 9.65, Playground Monitor $9.26, 
Food Service  $9.01, Transportation $12.50-$17.00, Buildings & Grounds $12.00, Custodial $12.00


A successful background check (BCI & FBI) is required for every employee, including substitute employees. The cost for background checks is $47.25 (responsibility of applicant) and can be done at our administration office building at 716 Askin Street, Maumee.

PLEASE NOTE:  Required documents, such as cover letters, certificate/license, transcripts, resume, and professional letters of recommendation, must be uploaded per directions provided during the online application process. Please do not submit hard copies of these documents or additional information via mail or in person.  Someone from Maumee City Schools will contact you directly if you are chosen for an interview.

If you recently graduated or will graduate soon, and are waiting for ODE to issue your license, please upload a document (on the "EDUCATION" page of your application) which states this fact, so that the system will allow you to submit your application. You should also upload a letter from the university stating that you are completing final requirements for graduation, with the date of commencement included.

If you are currently student teaching, you may apply for jobs that begin the following school year. Please upload university-provided documentation related to your student teaching assignment (on the "EDUCATION" page of your application), so that the system will allow you to submit your application. 

We understand that current college students/recent graduates may not have their teaching license and transcripts in hand at the time they submit their online application. Lack of these documents will not prevent your application from being considered. However, you should add these items to your application, via upload, as soon as you receive them. We are notified each time you update your online application.  Please do not ask your college/university to mail credentials directly to us.
