Due to COVID-19 Pandemic - Up to $375 Benefit is Available for Students Eligible for Free or Reduced-Price Meals Program

Please read this information carefully if you think your family may qualify. Disregard if you are not eligible for the free or reduced-price school breakfast/lunch program.

Recently, the United States Department of Agriculture approved P-EBT benefits distribution to all Ohio free or reduced-price meal eligible students to extend into the summer of 2021. This includes students who attended school in person in Maumee as well as all MVP students.

The P-EBT program provides families who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, formerly known as food stamps. The daily benefit amount is $6.82. This means that for this summer, each free or reduced-price meal eligible student can receive $375 dollars (equivalent to 55 days of benefits).

PARENTS - YOU MUST TAKE ACTION TO RECEIVE THIS PAYMENT FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

  1. You must have completed the federal eligibility application & been approved for free or reduced-price meals for your child this school year (2020-2021)

  2. You must have completed the federal eligibility application & been approved for free or reduced-price meals for your child last school year (2019-2020)

IF YOU MEET THE QUALIFICATION FOR 1 or 2 ABOVE, YOUR FAMILY IS ALREADY APPROVED. Maumee City Schools will submit your eligibility status for you.

  1. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR 1 or 2 above but think that your family may qualify for this financial benefit, you must complete a free or reduced-price eligibility application NO LATER THAN JUNE 11, 2021 LINK TO THE ONLINE APPLICATION
