Mark KarchnerMark Karchner 2016-2022 (Panther Pride Foundation President)
Mark is a lifelong resident of Maumee. He and his wife Kim graduated from Maumee High School and have three children who are Maumee School graduates. Mark has over 30 years of business experience as a certified public accountant and owner and managing partner of a successful public accounting and financial advisory firm. He has a long history of working with the Maumee City School District, including serving on a number of committees. Mark has also assisted and volunteered with many other area organizations, particularly those benefiting and assisting youth.

Fran Anderson2Fran Anderson 2016-2019 (Retired Board Member)
Fran has a 65 year legacy of service and support to family, friends, the community, and the family business (The Anderson's, Inc.). Over her lifetime, she has touched the lives of countless individuals through her involvement as a volunteer and leader in charitable organizations including United Way, Boy Scouts, Mobile Meals, Lucas County Children’s Services, Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Symphony Auxiliary, St. Luke’s Hospital, University of Toledo, as well as many others. She has lived in Maumee all her life and in 2006 was named as Maumee’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year. She is the 7th of 13 children and she and her husband Dick have six children, 24 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Diane BalcerzakDiane Balcerzak 2016-2022
Diane is a key account manager for an international company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Heidelberg University. An active community member, she also serves on the Maumee School Board, Penta Career Center School Board, Wayne Trail Elementary PTP, and is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She is the mother of two and she and her husband of Gregg are very active with the extracurricular and academic interests of their children. 


Matt DickMatt Dick 2016-2021
Matt is the principal of Maumee High School. He holds a B.S. in science education from BGSU, a master's in school psychology from UT, a post-MA endorsement from BGSU, and an EdS in Educational Administration. After 21 years of teaching, began serving as assistant principal and principal in 2013. He is deeply committed to educational programming and the students of the Maumee community. He is a founding member of the Panther Pride Foundation and believes in the development of the whole student experience - academics, arts, and athletics. He is also a proud member of the Maumee Rotary and Maumee Elks organizations. Matt and his wife Cathy have two daughters.


Tom DusselTom Dussel 2016-2020
A dedicated Maumee resident, Tom graduated from Maumee High School in 1965. He attended BGSU and in 1969 he then joined his father’s business and dedicated himself to the insurance industry and the Maumee community. Tom is involved with the Maumee Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Maumee Rotary Club. Dussel has been involved in all things Maumee. He is married to Sharon (Sherry) and they have two grown children (Corey and Tom) and one grandchild.

George ChapmanGeorge Chapman 2016-2021
George retired in 2014 as CEO of Health Care REIT Inc. and is a strong advocate for economic and cultural development in Maumee and the Toledo area. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell and a law degree from the University of Chicago. He has served as the Board Chairman for the University of Toledo and assisted other organizations such as Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Symphony Orchestra, and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. He began his career as a history and economics teacher at Maumee Valley Country Day School. He is a graduate of Maumee High School (1965) as are his three sons.

Kim LaClair

Kim LaClair 2016-2021
Kim was an educator for 30 years - 20 at Maumee High School where she served as the chairman of the department. She holds a B.S. and a master's in secondary education. Kim is passionate about substance abuse prevention, serving on the Maumee Substance Abuse Intervention League, advising the Maumee High School Youth to Youth program, and working with student mentors in the D.A.R.E. program. She was honored with a Citizen’s Commendation Award for her efforts. She also worked as a junior class co-advisor for safe prom and after-prom activities. Kim and her husband, Bob have three children who all graduated from Maumee High School.


Lynn OlmanLynn Olman 2016-2021
Lynn retired from his successful State Farm Insurance agency in 2014. He served on Maumee City Council for 15 years before his appointment to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1995, where he served the state until 2004. Lynn is the Executive Director of the Ohio State Farm Agents & Associates PAC. He is active with a number of nonprofits including Lucas County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services, Lucas County Board of Elections, Lutheran Home Society, ProMedica Insurance Corp. Board, Maumee Rotary Club, and St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lynn and his wife Joyce reside in Maumee and are graduates of Maumee High School. They have three children. 

Matt SzyndlerMatt Szyndler 2016-2021
Matt has been an athletic/activities director at the junior high and high school for 17 years. Prior to serving in schools, he served the Mid-American Conference and the Ohio High School Athletic Association. He has a B.S. from Bowling Green State University and an M.Ed. from Xavier University. Working for several districts has allowed Matt the opportunity to learn what schools must do to achieve and maintain successful extracurricular programs. He believes the Panther Pride Foundation, as well as all parent and booster support organizations, are critical pieces in keeping Maumee High School a source of pride for the city. Matt resides in Maumee with his wife and two daughters.

Tony WagenerTony Wagener 2019

Tony is the senior major gifts officer at Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.  Tony and his lovely wife Joy (MHS ‘03) have a long dedication with Maumee that starts with grandparents and a large contingent of family members who are all Maumee alumni.  Tony has worked in fund development and political advocacy since 2007 being involved as a legislative aide and a major gift officer for the Shakespeare Theatre Company and BGSU. Tony and Joy became first-time parents to a baby girl in July 2019.


Josh CullingJosh Culling 2019
Josh Culling is a partner at Dezenhall Resources, a strategic communications firm based in Washington, DC. He counsels corporations, nonprofits, and high profile individuals on complex communications challenges. Josh and his wife relocated from Washington in 2015 to raise their family in Northwest Ohio. They are active in various local charitable causes including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, Toledo Day Nursery, and St. Rose of Lima. Josh graduated from Maumee in 2003 and holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio University. 

Chris SchwabChris Schwab 2019

Chris is a senior product manager at Eaton (formerly Aeroquip) located in Arrowhead Park where he has worked for over 20 years.  He is a 1994 graduate of Maumee High School and holds a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering and earned an MBA from Bowling Green State University.  He has been active in serving the youth of the Maumee community, coaching youth baseball for over 13 years, and participating on the Maumee Little League Board.  Chris has also volunteered in numerous capacities for the Boy Scouts, Junior Achievement, and United Way. He and wife Lorin have two sons, one who is currently a student attending Maumee City Schools. 

Eddie Campos 2019
Eddie Campos
Eddie J. Campos has been a licensed realtor since 2005 with RE/MAX Preferred Associates. He and his wife Jennifer are very busy raising six children.  Eddie is a 10-year board member and past two-time president with the Maumee Chamber of Commerce. He sits on the Maumee City Planning Commission and was the athletic boosters' representative for the Kazmaier Stadium Renewal Project capital campaign. Eddie served on the Kazmaier Stadium Renewal campaign cabinet as a key leader for fundraising efforts.

Chad is an attorney focused on estate, tax and business succession planning, probate and trust administration, and charitable giving. He is a board certified specialist in estate planning, probate, and trust law and is licensed in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, and New York.

Fran Anderson2Kristin Meyer 2019  
Kristin Meyer has been the Executive Director for the Maumee Chamber of Commerce since April 2018. She has an extensive background in sales and event management. Kristin began her career at the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, FL, where she helped with large scale events. Born and raised in Northwest Ohio, she eventually moved back home and sold and planned events for The Toledo Zoo, Brandywine Country Club, and Stone Oak Country Club. She has participated and lent her expertise to many nonprofits organizations over the years. Kristin met her husband Trace at Walt Disney World and they celebrated their 25th anniversary in April 2019. They have two children, George and Katie, both attending the University of Toledo.

jan zimmermanJan Zimmerman 2019
Jan and her family have lived in Maumee for over 40 years. Both of her sons graduated from Maumee High School.  Jan served on the capital campaign for the Kazmaier Stadium Renewal as well as on the Nominating Committee for the Foundation. She served on many school positions including president of the Maumee Athletic Boosters and the Maumee School Board. She retired six years ago from a career in education and continues to be active in Maumee Rotary and the Ability Center of Toledo.
